Holcim Geostone
As part of the Rye Township Plan, the Rye Foreshore was transformed into a more connected and pedestrian-friendly public space. The upgrade replaced former coastal parking areas with new public spaces, pathways and a coastal promenade linking the town centre with the beach.
Geostone’s decorative exposed aggregate concrete was used across the main pathways, central walkway and plaza areas, providing a durable, low-maintenance surface suited to the busy coastal environment and seasonal tourist traffic. The exposed aggregate finish complements the surrounding native coastal greenery, sand dunes and nearby Rye Pier, creating a natural look that fits comfortably within the foreshore setting.
